Overview:
As part of the enhancement to the undertaking management system, providing users with improved accessibility and functionality to streamline their workflow. The ability to access all undertakings and my undertakings with different statuses has been facilitated through the addition of new menu groups and forms.
1. Undertakings Menu Group:
- A new menu group titled “Undertakings” has been added under Project/Matter Management and Accounting.
- Two new forms, “All Undertakings” and “My Undertakings”, have been introduced under the Undertakings menu group, located next to the Project/Matter menu group.
2. Feature Management Control:
The visibility of the Undertakings menu group is now controlled by the feature management setting “Project/matter Undertakings”. When enabled, the Undertakings menu group will be visible, and when disabled, it will be hidden.
3. All Undertakings Form:
- The “All Undertakings” form displays all undertaking records.
- Action buttons such as Delete, Update Amount, Actions, and Discharge are available on the Action pane and function as before.
- Hyperlinks are provided on undertaking numbers to access detailed undertaking forms.
- Additional fields including Project/Matter ID, Project/Matter Name, Client Bank Account, Fee Earner, and Unposted Amount have been added for enhanced information.
- By default, only New, Active, and Actioned status records are displayed.
- A new checkbox filter labelled “Discharge Undertakings” allows users to filter and view only Discharge status undertaking records.
Note: Users cannot create new undertaking records directly from this form and must navigate to the project/matter for new undertaking creation.
4. My Undertakings Form:
- The “My Undertakings” form displays undertaking records where the fee earner matches the current user.
- Action buttons are available on the Action pane with full functionality.
- Hyperlinks are provided on undertaking numbers for quick access to detailed forms.
- Additional fields including Project/Matter ID, Project/Matter Name, Client Bank Account, Fee Earner, and Unposted Amount enhance visibility.
- Similar to the “All Undertakings” form, only New, Active, and Actioned status records are initially displayed.
Note: New undertaking records cannot be created directly from this form; users must access the project/matter for new undertaking creation.
