Overview

This is an enhancement to evergreen existing headline rate functionality. Currently, if a sales price is expired, that price is still populated in time transactions, which results in wrong WIP and eventually in wrong invoicing or requires adjustment of WIP/Invoices. With this enhancement, the sales price will fetch from the related headline rate if there are no effective sales prices existing for the date.

When a new timesheet/journal is posted, the “old” rate that had expired will be skipped, and the sales price (hour) should revert to headline rates. This should also apply to the client rate.

Illustration

The headline rate is valid till 31/12/2024.

However, the exception/discounted sales price for the related headline rate is valid only till 31/10/2024. This means from 1st of November 2024, the headline rate will be charged to the client instead of the exception/discounted sales price.

Scenarios

Hour Journal on or before exception/discounted sales price expiry date

Sales price and client rate are 400.

Hour Journal after exception/discounted sales price expiry date

Sales price and client rate both are 800.

Note

The existing search criteria for sales price hierarchy will work as it is, and if the hierarchy doesn’t find any effective sales price, then the (All) headline rate will fetch for the record.
