Overview

Previously, when an invoice was settled using a credit note, both the invoice and credit note were displayed under the “Receipts” column in the Billing and Payment Summary report. With this enhancement, credit notes applied to invoices will now appear in a separate “Credit Note” column, providing better clarity and accuracy in financial reporting.

Key Changes & Functional Design

  • A new parameter, “Show credit note settlement in a separate column,” has been added to the Billing and Payment Summary dialogue box.
  • This parameter is grouped under a newly introduced section called “CREDIT NOTE.”
  • When enabled (set to Yes), the report will display a separate Credit Note column instead of including these transactions under Receipts.
  • If the parameter is disabled (set to No), the report format remains unchanged.

UI Changes

A new Settlement group has been introduced in the report, containing two sub-groups:

  • Receipts: Functions as before, excluding credit notes.
  • Credit note: Displays all invoices settled using a credit note.
