Overview:
The following section outlines the impact on data and setup due to fixes implemented for two reported bugs. These fixes require configuration adjustments and involve background updates.
Bug Fix 197306 – Unable to Close Projects
The fix for bug 197306 resolves the issue where projects could not be closed even when users chose that open transactions should not prevent project closure.
Configuration Impact:
To prevent the closure of projects that have any Work In Progress (WIP) transactions, companies must enable the “Prevent project closure if open transactions” parameter under Project Management and Accounting Parameters. This setting ensures that users are alerted to any open WIP during the project closure process. If the parameter is set to No, projects with WIP transactions will be closed without further checks during the closure process.
Bug Fix 197181 – Adjusted Transactions Not Appearing in Billing Guide Report
The fix for bug 197181 addresses the issue where adjusted transactions did not display their external comments in the billing guide report. This fix only impacts customers that have enabled the “(evergreen) Extended timesheet external comments (Preview)” feature.
Data Impact:
A datafix will automatically run upon updating to evergreen 10.0.41. This datafix will generate external comments for all existing adjusted transactions.
Execution:
This process will run in the background, without any interruption to the end-user experience. No manual intervention is required for this update.
These updates ensure that data accuracy and system functionality are improved without adding complexity to the user experience.
