Option to include subproject balances in the project inquiry screen

Overview

A new enhancement has been introduced to the Project/Matter inquiry screen, allowing users to optionally include balances from subprojects/submatters when viewing a parent project/matter. This provides a more comprehensive financial overview, improving visibility into related subproject/submatter transactions.

Key Features

• A new “Include subprojects/submatters” option has been added to the Project/Matter inquiry screen.
• When enabled, the displayed balances will include financial data from both the parent project/matter and its associated subprojects/submatters.
• Users can toggle this option based on their reporting needs, ensuring flexibility in financial analysis.
• To facilitate access to related subprojects/submatters, a Subprojects/Submatters link has been added, allowing users to navigate directly to associated subprojects/submatters from the Project/Matter inquiry screen.

Configuration & Access

• Navigate to the Project/Matter inquiry from the Project/Matter details screen: Manage > Related information > Inquiry.
• Enable the “Include subprojects/submatters” checkbox to view consolidated balances.
• By default, this option is disabled to maintain the existing behavior.
• Use the new Subprojects/Submatters link to quickly access related subprojects/submatters.

This enhancement provides users with greater control over financial reporting, streamlining the review of project/matter-related balances.
