Videomapper on Layer adds the functionality of video maps and colour blocks to each layer.

Videomapper forms part of the Geometry section of the layer controls:

Render Order

Videomapper on layer is rendered after effects but before layer geometry.

To move content around within the video map use an effect such as scroller.

To move the video map around within the mix use layer geometry.

Resolution

As with conventional videomapper, a video map does not have it’s own resolution.

The output resolution of Videomapper on Layer is always set to the mix it belongs to.

The input resolution can either be the layer or mix, as determined by the drop down resolution menu.

When the Resolution field is set to Layer, the video map assumes the resolution of the source which depends on the source type:

  • Media Player Uses media resolution
  • Live Capture Uses capture resolution.
  • Generator Uses the mix resolution
  • Relay Uses the relay source layer resolution
  • NDI Uses the NDI sender resolution
  • Spout Uses the Spout sender resolution

When the Resolution is set to Mix, the video map will use the resolution of the mix.
