Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) is the peak body for surf lifesaving in Queensland, Clubs must complete an application for Annual Affiliation by Surf Life Saving Club or Branch have access to the following benefits:

SLSQ Annual Affiliation Requirements

Each year after seasons ends, SLSQ will request clubs and branches to submit the following standard documentation, along with any additional information required as part of the affiliation for that year:

  • Annual Reports
  • Affiliation Statements
  • List of Office Bearers
  • Audited Financials
  • Annual General Meeting Minutes
  • ACNC Annual Information Statement
  • Annual Return (Office of Fair Trading) – only of
    • Change in office bearers’ names.
    • Change in office bearer’s address.
    • Change in club address (including mailing)
    • Amendment to your constitution
  • Statement of Commitment
  • Australian Tax Office Self Assessment
  • Insurance Declarations (Due by July each year)

For further information refer to sub sections in this manual and Start of Season and End of Season Requirements in the Administration Operations Manual (AOM).

SLSQ is aiming to have a comprehensive club file located at SLSQ to ensure it can efficiently provide information (if required) to relevant stakeholders (such as Grant Seeking Unit).

It also provided SLSQ with a large scope of the clubs/ branch current state and ensure there will be no major issues arising within the coming months.
