The purpose of committees and panels is to support the decision-making process within the organisation by providing a forum for discussion, research, and analysis of specific issues or projects. Committees and panels are typically made up of a group of individuals who have expertise or experience relevant to the matter being discussed.

They also provide an opportunity for members to participate in policy and decision making and ensures good governance standards are adhered to when resolutions are carried for matters relating to club activities.

Committees and Panels should have a clear set of responsibilities outlined within your constitution and regulations (by laws).

If the is a need for a Special Committee or Panel to be formed, a term of reference should be drafted, reviewed and endorsed by the Management Committee.
