Requests for the Jury Duty can be submitted up to 1 month post facto and 1 month in advance.

When entering the Jury Duty request on behalf of the staff member the Time Administrator/Time Senior Administrator will follow the Submit request for special leave procedures in this chapter and will select the Jury Duty option in the Type of Leave field instead of selecting the special leave without pay option. The Time Administrator/Time Senior Administrator will then select the days and submit as with any other leave request and ensure that supporting documentation is attached to the request. If supporting documentation is not attached the HR Partner will reject the request.




In the case of jury duty, the request will be routed to the HR Partner, not the Time Manager, for approval. Jury duty is always treated as special leave with full pay under the current rules and regulations.
