Each staff member is provided a quota of one floating holiday. On the Create Leave Request form, there is a Leave Type for Floating Holiday.

  1. When recording a Floating Holiday request on behalf of the staff member the Time Administrator/Time Senior Administrator follows the procedures in the Annual Leave chapter.
  2. Select the Floating Holiday from the Type of Leave menu options.


  3. Specify the start and end date of the selected holiday. This must be one of the approved floating holidays at the staff member’s duty station.
  4. Select the Time manager to e-mail and include any relevant note, if applicable, then click Check to validate the date entered.


  5. Click Send. The Floating Holiday leave request will be routed to the time manager, who will review the request, confirm it is for one of the floating holidays specified in the IC, and approve as they do for any other type of leave request.
