Requests for Annual Leave-Family Leave can be submitted up to 3 months post facto and 12 months in advance.
The Annual Leave-Family Visit option will be displayed only if the staff member is eligible for family leave.
When entering the Annual Leave-Family Visit request on behalf of the staff member the Time Administrator/Time Senior Administrator will follow the Create a leave request procedure in the Annual Leave chapter of this job aid and will select the Annual Leave – Family Visit option in the Type of Leave field. All days (including travel days) must be requested as Annual Leave-Family visit.
This submission is for approval of the TIME to go on Family Visit leave. Once the staff member has had the time approved by their manager, they need to submit a travel request for family visit through the Travel Portal or request the help of a Travel Administrator so that the transaction can be submitted on their behalf.
