Some common signs and symptoms of work-related stress you may notice in yourself or others include:

  • becoming aggressive, irritable, socially isolated or withdrawn
  • experiencing panic or anxiety
  • feeling tense, overwhelmed, unwell or unsafe
  • frequently arriving late or avoiding work
  • inability to focus or complete tasks
  • out-of-character changes in behaviour or appearance
  • racing heart or a tightening of the chest
  • sleep disturbance
  • weight or appetite changes.
