Within any group or team, there are people with different levels of training, experience, skill and initiative. There is also often a diverse range of age, gender, religious beliefs and cultural backgrounds that influence how people communicate.

In order to be effective as a team, team members need to be able to communicate effectively with each other. It is important that everyone has a chance to speak and provide input without interruption. You are strongly encouraged to share your thoughts during team discussions and limit your response time so that all SLS members can engage in the conversation. You should also actively listen to other SLS members and open yourself up to provide genuine responses to any questions they pose.
