Parcel splits can be initiated from two places:
- Split Utility in LandMark
- MapAnalyzer from the map by editing the parcel layer and selecting the Split icon and choosing Split by COGO or Split by Keyboard (user may always Split by Rectangular Survey from LandMark)
Split from LandMark (the preferred place to start a Split)
Using the Split Utility tool in LandMark allows the following things:
- Automatically generates a new Child Account
- Update any Ag Land
- Carries over data from the Parent Account
Parent/Child accounts will show the same message in the Value Change Log.
