Editing and Deleting Polygons

Users can edit polygons on the map, move the polygons around, or delete them from the map.
This includes adding, moving and deleting and aligning vertices.

SELECT the parcel you wish to edit.

CLICK on the to go into edit mode.

This will show the parcel selected in yellow, and the tool bar will change to support editing functions.

To Edit Polygon

CLICK on the icon in the tool bar
SELECT polygon to edit
The polygon will change from orange to gray and the vertex, bearing, feet, and area.
If the polygon does not display any of the information select options and editor preferences and be sure the Display Options are checked.

To Move Polygon
SELECT polygon
RIGHT-CLICK, CLICK Move
CLICK on the center and DRAG the parcel to where it is supposed to go
SELECT a tool or icon to stop moving

To Delete a polygon

CLICK on the center of the polygon
CLICK the “delete” key on your keyboard.
To undo this delete click on the undo button in the toolbar.

CLICK Apply Button to save changes.

CLICK Cancel Button and Yes to get out of edit mode.
