User may need to create a layer for marijuana farms or wind farms.

This example will create a layer for Marijuana farms.

To Create a Layer in LandMark, the user must first be ready to add a shape.

FIND a parcel or farm you wish to locate.
(If finding in LandMark, be sure the Link to LandMark is checked on the MapAnalyzer side. Options — Link to LandMark.)

SELECT Create New Layer Under the map legend

File Path: will automatically generate
File Name: NAME the file (MARIJUANA)
Layer Type: CHOOSE (Point)
Group Folder: CHOOSE folder type (Defined Layers)

Once the user creates the layer, it will automatically be in edit mode.

SELECT Add
DROP A POINT

CLICK Apply

SAVE current map state, after a point has been dropped.

To add additional attributes.
Under Map Legend
RIGHT-CLICK on the layer created
SELECT Edit Attributes

Once in the attributes table
SELECT Edit — Add Field

NAME Field (for this example we will add owner’s name.)
TYPE is String
WIDTH is Character Count (Always set a minimun of 10, but if adding owner’s name 40 +-)

SELECT Okay and Apply

Users may add as many fields as the wish.

Once all fields are added, users can populate these as they add points.
