Fixing Legs in Split

Sometimes during a split, the parent or child parcel will develop a leg (a line that extends from the parcel outline).

To Delete a Leg

First try: Aligning Vertices.
If there are 6 extra vertexes, you may have to Align Vertices six times to make them all disappear.

Then Try the following…

CLICK on pencil to enter edit mode

CLICK on parent

CLICK on vertex at the end of the leg. Vertex will turn from blue to red
HIT delete on keyboard. The vertex should delete.

There may be more than one vertex to delete.
When all the vertexes disappear from the leg.
CLICK Apply
