This shows how to import a layer from other vendors, such as: school district map, a 911 address layer or an updated layer from a third party such as DataScout.

Keep in mind, this will be a stand-alone layer and the parcel information will not be updated from LandMark! User is responsible to update these layers periodically.

GO TO the website of choice to find the updated data

CLICK on the DATA tab
CHOOSE to select by County

SELECT COUNTY

CHOOSE LAYER from the Layers Listing

CLICK ON View Full Details

CHOOSE Download the chosen layer

The Download Options will pop-up on the left side,
CHOOSE Download by Shapefile AND generate new download with latest data

OPEN the downloaded data file
CHOOSE Extract All
SAVE to GISData on the T drive

The chosen file will open when the extraction is complete.

SELECT All and COPY Files

Open the downloaded data file and choose to Extract All. Save to a folder on the T drive.

Go to the Landmark OSU screen, System, GIS Configuration

CLICK the Import Button

The import box will appear.
CHOOSE the source file
SELECT the saved file from the T: drive
NAME it

CHOOSE the new layer.
MARK as defined, so all can see.
SELECT the old layers in the legend
RIGHT-CLICK to remove

SAVE MAP STATE
