The Value Change Log records the changes in value on a certain date, change reason and messages associated with the change.

The Value Change Log is found in the Assessment File — Tax Information Tab

Value Change Log This table will show any changes made to the TaxRoll after the values are locked in the Excise Board Report, but before the TaxRoll is transferred to the Treasurer’s Office. Entries in this table are automatically generated when the values are locked in the County Information Table. These entries may be edited or deleted trough the Value Change Module.

Last Certified Values These fields are populated when values are certified or locked OTC Excise Board Report is ran.

The fields to the right will typically have a 0 value. Any entries in those fields indicates that the Current Values on the Assessment Data Tab subtracted by the Value Change Log do not equal the Last Certified Values. If there are numbers in this column, that indicates a problem and needs to be fixed. See Balancing Excise Report for more information.

Concerning Splits, Subdivides, and Combines —Parent/Child accounts will show the same value change message in the log.
