To view/edit the Tax Area Table:
Assessment File — View – Tax Calculation – Tax Area Table
Main Menu — Assessment — Assessment Tables — Tax Calculation — Tax Area

There are two choices in record status for a tax area:

  • Active—An active tax area record may be used in tax calculations.
  • Inactive— An inactive record is one that isn’t in use, but you don’t want deleted.

To change the record status:
USE the arrows to scroll through to find the record to change.
SELECT Edit — Record Status
A search will be done.

If the tax area is currently on any records, you will receive the following message.

If the record can be inactivated, you will be asked to confirm inactivation.

If it has already been deleted, you cannot inactivate the record.

If confirmed the record will have the following message.

To reactivate a record, SELECT Edit — Record Status.
You will be asked to confirm to activate the record.

If an inactive tax area is selected, you will receive a message that the tax area is inactive and the tax area will be cleared out.
