Taxing Information

Taxing Information Tab:

Tax Levy Table: This table list the Tax Districts and levy amounts associated with the Tax Area input under Classification in the Data Tab.

Tax Calculations: This group shows all of the current tax calculations using the current valuation and levy amounts.

Assessment Flags: These can be set up to flag certain accounts.
Interest Type:
Special Use: If the property has a special use marijuana farm, wind farm or has boat docks some counties set flags or make layers of these properties.

Class/Status: Items located here are linked in from the Property Class Module and are dependent on the data entered on the Property Class Field on the Assessment Data Tab. The boxes will automatically be selected in the Parcel is Tax Exempt or a State Reimbursed Exemption based on the Property Class.
Tax Exempt box will be checked if tax exempt
State Reimbursed Exemption box will be checked if it qualifies for a state reimbursement

Class Change/Prorate:

Future Class is used when changing the class of a property from Non-exempt to Exempt.

Future Tax Area is used when a mobile home is moving from one tax area to another within the county.

Months Taxable is used when changing the class from Exempt to Non-exempt.

Advanced Tax This field is automatically populated from the OTC Form 936 processing tool, but data can also be entered/edited manually from here. Any changes made here will override the calculated tax for the assessment year entered in the Adv. Year Field when transferring to the Treasurer’s Office.

Tax Loss Summary will show total tax losses from exemptions, caps and/or freezes.

Value Change Log This table will show any changes made to the TaxRoll after the values are locked in the Excise Board Report, but before the TaxRoll is transferred to the Treasurer’s Office. Entries in this table are automatically generated when the values are locked in the County Information Table. These entries may be edited or deleted trough the Value Change Module.

Last Certified Values These fields are populated when values are certified or locked OTC Excise Board Report is ran.

The fields to the right will typically have a 0 value. Any entries in those fields indicates that the Current Values on the Assessment Data Tab subtracted by the Value Change Log do not equal the Last Certified Values. If there are numbers in this column, that indicates a problem and needs to be fixed.
