Learn through interactive case studies and sample client files when it’s most convenient for you. Razor Academy allows you to advance your knowledge of the software to serve your clients better and ensure they reach their financial goals.

Razor Academy includes a library of client situations and concepts focused on advancing your abilities within the software. Each case focuses on an individual concept or feature within RazorPlan. Stay up-to-date with new features in the software and identify new ways to leverage RazorPlan calculations and controls by working through and completing each of the available case files.

How To Use Razor Academy

Click on the Razor Academy button to open the window displaying the Razor Academy library of case studies. This window displays the File Name, the Last Updated date, Last Downloaded date and provides a button to view the case outlines.

Viewing a Razor Academy Case Outline

Razor Academy case outlines can be viewed by clicking the button. When clicked, the case outline will open in a new tab in your browser. Case outlines provide all of the details of the case along with detailed steps to recreate the case results in RazorPlan. Download a case file (see below) and then use the How To Build with RazorPlan section in the case outline to change that case file in RazorPlan and recreate the case results.

Downloading a RazorPlan Academy Case File

A Razor Academy case file can be downloaded by clicking the button. The file will download to your RazorPlan account and automatically load to Personal Information data entry screen.

Downloaded copies of the RazorPlan Academy case files are available in your list of client files when you Open a Client. You can also redownload a new copy of any case file at any time by downloading it again from the Razor Academy window. The Last Downloaded column in the Razor Academy window displays the date of the last time the case file was downloaded.
