Data Panel

The Data Panel allows you to modify key client data points while simultaneously viewing the results. You can alter client data in one of two ways; Optimize or Manual Changes.​

Solve

Solve gives you the ability to solve one data point to eliminate future excesses or deficiencies. This allows you to examine any number of solutions or data changes. After clicking the button, the Solve window will appear.

Select a data category from the available list, then select a data attribute to solve.

Next click and the software will perform an iterative solve routine to calculate the optimal value required to eliminate future excesses and deficiencies.​ The new value will be added to client data and the software re-calculated.​

*Solve will balance cash-flow to a tolerance of plus or minus $10,000 in the final year of the plan. In situations where Solve cannot find a mathematical solution, the software will display the closest possible result but may leave excesses or deficiencies.

Once the solve has completed, you can choose to keep the new value by clicking or reset the value by clicking .

Manual Changes

Changes can also be made manually by typing directly into the Data Panel. To make a change, select a field to modify and enter the new value. The software will immediately re-calculate based on the new data entered and will highlight the altered data field in yellow.

You can choose to keep the new value by clicking or reset the value by clicking . Any number of changes can be made before choosing to save or reset the data.

!Clicking Save will update the client file with the new values. You will not be able to undo a save.
