Goodwill & Operations

In addition to investment and real estate, a corporation may have considerable value in the goodwill of the day to day operations. This area allows you to increase the value of the business beyond the total value of Investments & Securities and Corporate Owned Real Estate. Goodwill & Operations typically include the value of client lists, staff, corporate processes and other intangible property.

Value: Enter the current value of any Goodwill & Operations owned by the Client and/or Spouse/Partner, share ownership is defined in Share Value. Do not include the value of assets owned by a third party

*The software will not liquidate fixed assets to help fund the client’s retirement goals. Instead, the software will calculate the retirement assets required and compare this amount to the client’s total assets. This can be seen on the Financial Assets Chart. In most cases, this allows you to look at the effect of liquidating fixed assets without the need to enter a physical liquidation. If you wish to show a downsizing/liquidation, enter the required data through the Liquidation Drill-Down .
