Overview

There have been reports that the KT-107 and KT-1010 units are experiencing an image ghosting or screen burn in when the tablets are used in kiosk mode. This kiosk mode is the default on all KT-107 and KT-1010 tablets. To prevent these issues one suggestion we have made is to create a black overlay and by combining the IDLE timer with an Update Property you can set the tablet to a black screen when the room is not in use. Follow the steps below to setup your screen saver in Kramer Control:

Process

In order to complete the process below you will need to understand the use of:

Create Frame that covers the entire page

  • Note If using multiple pages, it might be best to also include a navigation to a home page as well
  • Enable the option to hide this frame (Hidden)

Create Idle Overlay

  • Within this Overlay create a black background that is the full size of the overlay
  • Create a blank button that also takes up the entire page
  • Within the button add an Update Property to hide the Idle frame from the previous step

Create Idle Event

  • Decide the best time frame for your customer. In this example we will use 1 hour of no interaction.
  • If you have multiple pages, include the page navigation within the Idle event to direct the GUI to the page where the Idle Frame/Overlay combination have been added
