INTENT
The intent of the Well-Being Indicator is to facilitate work environments that holistically foster employee emotional, social, and spiritual well-being.
METRICS
Level 1
- Organization has a written policy that includes supporting the emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of employees.
Level 2
- Organization has a written policy that includes supporting the emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of employees.
- Organization offers at least 20 days of combined paid vacation and sick time for all full-time employees.
- Organization offers at least three days of paid bereavement leave that is separate from paid vacation or sick time.
- Organization has developed a comprehensive employee well-being program and initiated at least one component in each aspect of employee well-being (emotional, social, and spiritual).
- Organization reports an average score of at least 3 on the Well-Being Survey.
Level 3
- Organization has a written policy that includes supporting the emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of employees.
- Organization offers at least 25 days of combined paid vacation and sick time for all full-time employees.
- Organization offers at least five days of paid bereavement leave that is separate from paid vacation or sick time.
- Organization has developed a comprehensive employee well-being program and initiated at least two components in each aspect of employee well-being (emotional, social, and spiritual).
- Organization reports an average score of at least 3.5 on the Well-Being Survey.
Level 4
- Organization has a written policy that includes supporting the emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of employees.
- Organization offers at least 30 days of combined paid vacation and sick time for all full-time employees.
- Organization offers at least 10 days of paid bereavement leave that is separate from paid vacation or sick time.
- Organization has developed a comprehensive employee well-being program and initiated at least three components in each aspect of employee well-being (emotional, social, and spiritual) and has a strategy for continual improvement based on employee feedback.
- Organization reports an average score of at least 4 on the Well-Being Survey.
ALTERNATIVE COMPLIANCE PATH – Best Places to Work Award
Level 4
- Organization has a written policy that includes supporting the emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of employees.
- Organization offers at least 30 days of combined paid vacation and sick time for all full-time employees.
- Organization offers at least 10 days of paid bereavement leave that is separate from paid vacation or sick time.
- Organization has received a Best Places to Work Award within the past two years.
ALTERNATIVE COMPLIANCE PATH – Single-Member and Small Organizations (Two to 10 Employees)
Level 2
- Organization has a written policy that includes supporting the emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of employees.
- Organization offers at least 20 days of combined paid vacation and sick time for all full-time employees.
- Organization offers at least three days of paid bereavement leave that is separate from paid vacation or sick time.
- Organization has developed a comprehensive employee well-being program and initiated at least two components in each aspect of employee well-being (emotional, social, and spiritual).
Level 3
- Organization has a written policy that includes supporting the emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of employees.
- Organization offers at least 25 days of combined paid vacation and sick time for all full-time employees.
- Organization offers at least five days of paid bereavement leave that is separate from paid vacation or sick time.
- Organization has developed a comprehensive employee well-being program and initiated at least three components in each aspect of employee well-being (emotional, social, and spiritual) and has a strategy for continual improvement based on employee feedback.
