GENERAL DOCUMENTATION

The following list includes all documentation requirements applicable to any performance levels and paths for this Indicator. Organizations will only submit the documentation requirements relevant to their targeted performance level.

  • RET-1 Retirement Policy: Copy of written policy that meets Indicator requirements.
  • RET-2 Financial Education Documentation: Documentation of the financial education services that are made available to employees, such as classes or coaching services, offering schedule, costs and subsidies, etc.
  • RET-3 Defined Contribution Plan Documentation: Documents stating the terms of the plan showing compliance with Indicator metrics at the targeted level, including timing of eligibility, auto-enrollment and default contribution levels for employees, any auto-escalation set-points, the employer contribution levels, investment options available to employees, and options for employee participation while paying off qualified student loans, as applicable.
  • RET-4 Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Documentation: Documentation of active ESOP status.
  • RET-5 Defined Benefit Plan Documentation: Documents clearly stating the terms of the defined benefit plan.

Organizations using exceptions must submit the following additional documentation.

RET-001 Vendor Restrictions

  • RET-3a External Vendor Restrictions: Documentation of restrictions to immediate eligibility or auto-enrollment set forth by the external vendor administering the organization’s retirement benefits.
