INTENT

The intent of the Recruitment Indicator is to expand the diversity of the workforce to include historically marginalized and underestimated groups that have a range of identities, beliefs, and experiences. Such identities may be rooted in, but are not limited to, race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, physical or mental disabilities, physical appearance, parental/caregiver status, religion, education, socioeconomic background, nation of origin, preferred language, accent or dialect, or prior justice system involvement.

METRICS

Level 1

  1. Organization has a written policy that documents its commitment and approach to equitable recruitment.

Level 2

  1. Organization has a written policy that documents its commitment and approach to equitable recruitment.
  2. Organization has developed an approach for equitable recruitment and initiated at least one practice in each phase of the recruitment process (developing position descriptions, searching for candidates, and evaluating candidates).

Level 3

  1. Organization has a written policy that documents its commitment and approach to equitable recruitment.
  2. Organization advocates for and takes action to support more expansive diversity within its industry.
  3. Organization has developed an approach for equitable recruitment and initiated at least two practices in each phase of the recruitment process (developing position descriptions, searching for candidates, and evaluating candidates).

Level 4

  1. Organization has a written policy that documents its commitment and approach to equitable recruitment.
  2. Organization advocates for and takes action to support more expansive diversity within its industry.
  3. Organization has developed an approach for equitable recruitment and initiated at least three practices in each phase of the recruitment process (developing position descriptions, searching for candidates, and evaluating candidates).
  4. Organization makes its recruitment process publicly available.
