INTENT

The intent of the Health Care Indicator is to provide comprehensive health care for all employees.

METRICS

Level 1

  1. Organization has a written policy that documents employee health care benefits and cost-sharing structure.

Level 2

  1. Organization has a written policy that documents employee health care benefits and cost-sharing structure.
  2. Organization pays at least 60% of a comprehensive health insurance plan for all eligible employees.

Level 3

  1. Organization has a written policy that documents employee health care benefits and cost-sharing structure.
  2. Organization pays at least 75% of a comprehensive health insurance plan for all eligible employees.

Level 4

  1. Organization has a written policy that documents employee health care benefits and cost-sharing structure.
  2. Organization pays 100% of a comprehensive health insurance plan for all eligible employees.
  3. Organization has a cost-sharing structure in place to pay at least 50% of a comprehensive health care plan for employees’ spouses, domestic partners, and dependents.

ALTERNATIVE COMPLIANCE PATH – Universal Health Care

Level 3

  1. Organization has a written policy that documents employee health care benefits and cost-sharing structure.
  2. Organization’s government provides universal health care coverage.

Level 4

  1. Organization has a written policy that documents employee health care benefits and cost-sharing structure.
  2. Organization’s government provides comprehensive universal health care coverage.
