INTENT
The intent of the Pay Scale Equity Indicator is to reduce significant discrepancies in employee pay that stem from the traditional overvaluation of work performed by senior executives and the undervaluation of work performed by employees in the lowest job classifications.
METRICS
Level 1
- Organization has a written policy that documents pay scale equity practices.
Level 2
- Organization has a written policy that documents pay scale equity practices.
- Organization has pay classes and associated job-level descriptions accessible to all employees.
- Organization has a maximum pay ratio of 1:15.
Level 3
- Organization has a written policy that documents pay equity practices.
- Organization has pay classes and associated job-level descriptions accessible to all employees.
- Organization has a maximum pay ratio of 1:10.
Level 4
- Organization has a written policy that documents pay equity practices.
- Organization has pay classes and associated job-level descriptions accessible to all employees.
- Organization has a maximum pay ratio of 1:5.
