INTENT

The intent of the Racial and Ethnic Pay Equity Indicator is to reduce significant discrepancies in pay equity across racial and ethnic identities.

METRICS

Level 1

  1. Organization has a written policy that documents its racial and ethnic pay equity practices.

Level 2

  1. Organization has a written policy that documents its racial and ethnic pay equity practices.
  2. Organization demonstrates a pay scale with a maximum variance in pay of 10% among racial and ethnic identities within each of the organization’s pay classes.

Level 3

  1. Organization has a written policy that documents its racial and ethnic pay equity practices.
  2. Organization demonstrates a pay scale with a maximum variance in pay of 6% among racial and ethnic identities within each of the organization’s pay classes.

Level 4

  1. Organization has a written policy that documents its racial and ethnic pay equity practices.
  2. Organization demonstrates a pay scale with a maximum variance in pay of 2% among racial and ethnic identities within each of the organization’s pay classes.
