The Irrigation operation is normally used in sugar and alcohol crop applications. In the vicinity of the sugarcane crop, it is common to find reservoirs of vinasse – one of the liquid by-products of the fractional distillation of fermented sugarcane juice, highly rich in nutrients. Next to these reservoirs, there are large-gauge hose reels, hundreds of meters long. The hoses are completely stretched in the field with the help of tractors, so that the application of the vinasse in high flow and with a great power of lateral reach can be activated, while the hose is automatically collected by the spool mechanics, filling a large area of the field with the liquid fertilizer.
The system GeoNave assists the operator in several stages of the Irrigation operation. First, in the process of stretching the hose, informing through visual and audible alerts when the distance parameters related to the length of the hose are reached, preventing damage and rupture. And yet through the various Guide Types available, allows the producer a uniform application, without flaws and overlaps, using the Implement as being the lateral reach of the hose flow.
To configure the Irrigation operation on the system GeoNave, follow the steps outlined below.
1)Configure Implement Width
The width of the Implement will be used to fill in the Trail performed during irrigation application.
2)Configure the Hose parameters
In the navigation screen, the irrigation settings button will be available . Pressing the button, the left side button bar will assume the configuration shown in the figure below.
The Maximum Distance setting button allows to configure the total length of the hose, with values between 1.000 and 2500,000 meters. The Maximum Distance setting screen is shown in the following image.
It is also possible to configure a distance to start the visual and audible alert during the process of stretching the hose, through the Configure alert button . Pressing the button, the Alert configuration screen will be displayed as shown in the following figure.
3)Reset the Odometer
When the irrigation settings button is pressed, the Information Board shows the Odometer value, which is increased according to the tractor’s displacement. To reset its value and start the hose stretching procedure, the odometer reset button must be pressed
.
4)Create a Guide
Before starting the irrigation operation, the user can perform the procedure described in Create a Guide, to guide the process of filling the crop area.
5)Start Irrigation
To start the irrigation operation, press the button to activate irrigation . Both the Information Board how much Footer navigation screen are modified as shown in the image below. The trail is also triggered, demarcating the area that will be applied when the hose is collected by applying the input.
While the tractor moves by stretching the hose, the values of the Information Board and the graph of Footer are updated.
- THE Distance to alert is decremented from the value configured in the Alert until it is zeroed, when its displayed value changes to ACHIEVED!.
- The distance value Limit is decremented starting from the value configured in the Maximum Distance of the hose until it is zeroed, when its presented value changes to ACHIEVED!.
- THE Odometer is increased according to the distance the tractor travels.
- The ruler marker in the footer graphic moves to the right, while the area to the left of the marker is filled with a color dependent on the distance traveled to the Alert parameter from pressing the button to trigger the irrigation
.
- Green: Up to half the distance from the Alert.
- Yellow: Between half and full value of Alert distance.
- Red (flashing): From the total value of the Alert distance. The intermittent beep is also activated.
When the total distance of the hose is reached, the ruler is all filled in red in a flashing manner, and the beep is activated constantly, warning that the hose may break from this moment.
