We have improved the integration between DBP and EPC through the centralized management of key settings and assets. These changes help streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and ensure consistency across the platform.

Key Enhancements:

  1. Centralized Management of EPC Settings

The EPC Settings module has been simplified to focus exclusively on data synchronization.

  • Centralized EPC Integration Settings: Administrative credentials and environment settings have been removed from the EPC Settings module. These are now managed centrally in the DBP Settings to improve security and consistency.

  • Updated User Interface: The EPC Settings module has been redesigned for a more intuitive user experience. It now highlights two main synchronization modes:
    • Full Synchronization: Updates all objects in the application.
    • Selective Synchronization: Updates specific object types (e.g., processes, organizational units, assets, or documents).

  1. Centralized Management of Assets

Asset management is now centralized in EPC, making it the authoritative source for all asset-related data.

  • Improved Asset Synchronization: Assets are now created and updated directly in EPC, with changes synchronized to DBP for use in the BCM application.
  • Limited User Intervention in BCM: To support the centralized management of assets, user actions in the Asset Management module are now limited to the following:
    • Fetching the latest asset data from EPC using the Sync with EPC button.
    • Modifying asset location sites.
    • Changing asset status (Active/Inactive).
