SAP Transports without Forms

Although generally not recommended for audit reasons, it is possible for there to be an SAP Transport without a corresponding ActiveControl Transport Form.

The most common scenario for this situation happening is due to transports not being part of the initial migration into ActiveControl at the point of go-live (and this can be for good reason, since customers would generally not want to migrate thousands of historical SAP transports that already went all the way through the landscape to Production before they started using ActiveControl), however it can also be possible within certain customer setups on an ongoing basis. For example, if Transport Forms are only populated at the point of triggering the release of the SAP transport.

The Transport without Forms subscreen accessed via the Transport Forms app can be used by authorised users to view SAP Transports without a corresponding Transport Forms.

Only ActiveControl Administrators and users with the Y_TEFORM-CREATE authorisation activity will be able to see the Transport without Forms subscreen. These uses are also able to create the Transport Form via the Actions option on the screen.

! Please note that customers with old SAP systems with many thousands of historical transports could see performance issues when using this screen, and for this reason, the output is deliberately restricted to the first 2000 SAP transports without Transport Forms within a particular ActiveControl Path / Development source system. The results are calculated on the backend, therefore filtering in the front end will not result in a different 2000 transports being presented.
