The Satellite systems are the Customer systems to be managed via ActiveControl. These typically fall into one of the following categories
- ABAP SAP systems, such as S/4HANA, ECC, APO or BW.
- Non-ABAP SAP systems, such as Enterprise Portal or PI Java.
- Non-ABAP Cloud SAP systems on SAP BTP, such as Cloud Platform Integration.
- Non-SAP systems.
Users of ActiveControl will be able to see all transports and changes being delivered in each of the Satellite SAP system applications being managed by ActiveControl via the ActiveControl Web Platform.
All approvals and test signoffs – as well as the actual import deployments of the changes – are typically performed directly via ActiveControl, or indirectly via integrations with 3rd Party tools such as Jira or ServiceNow.
