Releasing an SAP Transport

It is possible to release (ie make non-modifiable) an SAP Transport from within ActiveControl.

This can be done either manually by authorised users, or automatically via configuration. The latter typically happens on completion of a defined control point approval. Eg some customers have all Transports automatically released when a Dev Outbox approval is performed, prior to the transport moving forward to the Test Import Queue.

For customers that do not want to automatically release the SAP Transports via ActiveControl, Transport Owners can either release the transports manually via the standard SAP functionality within the SAPGUI, or from within ActiveControl via the Transport Form or Global View

Releasing from the Transport Form

Authorised users can release Transports from within the Transport Form, via the ‘Transport Details’ subscreen.
