Delegations

Delegations can be used by Approvers within ActiveControl to delegate their approval responsibilities to another user(s). This can be useful in the event that an Approver is going to be unavailable, eg going on Annual Leave.

Delegations are set via the ‘Delegations’ option in the User Actions menu in the top-right of the Web Platform screen.

On the Delegation screen, an Approver can define their delegatees, as well as the start/end date period during which the defined delegatees will be able to perform their Approvals.

! Delegations only cover Inbox and Outbox approvals within ActiveControl. Delegations does not cover any Testing responsibilities that a user might have; those can only be done by updating the Testers assigned to the individual Business Task(s).

*It is possible for authorised users – typically Administrators – to be able to force delegation for an Approver. This is typically used in the scenario where an Approver is unexectedly unavailable eg has gone on sick leave.
