Locking a Business Task

Business Tasks can be manually or automatically locked in ActiveControl to prevent more transport forms from being attached to them. One common use case of Business Task locking is when the SAP change is ready for production, so that no further transports can be attached to it at the last minute.

Manual locking of Business Tasks is performed by authorised users via the Lock Task option available via the ‘Three Dots’ dropdown in an individual Business Task.

When a Business Task is locked, a padlock icon is displayed next to it.

* Business Task locking can be done automatically by ActiveControl when a Business Task passes a specific control point for a target system. This is done via global configuration performed by your local ActiveControl Administrator.

* Business Task locking does NOT prevent an associated transport from being approved or imported.
