Strategic Map
Introduction:
A Strategic Map is used for any visual model of a company’s performance. This map can be BSC (Balanced Score Card) or MBO (Management by Objectives), among others.
It is used to represent strategic objectives in a simple and objective way; helping to break down goals.
There are two types of strategic maps:
Corporate: where there is no filled-in area and any system user can access it.
By area: where only users who have permission in the Map area can access it.
Procedures:
1. To create a strategic map, access the Manage > Strategic Map menu:
2. Click on the + button, the system will open a form to be filled in with the information from the Strategic Map:
The description field is mandatory. If you want the strategic map to be by area, fill in the area. You can designate a person in charge and add any notes if you wish.
Click on to save the Map.
3. The first option we have is to change the size of the strategic map. By default, it will be 800 (H) x 1100 (W). If you are going to export this map, keep these dimensions on all pages.
4. The next option is to delete and insert a background image for the map. To insert, click on and to delete, click on
.
5. Now you need to insert the information you want to see on the map. To do this, click on and select the type of item you want to insert.
The logic for registering map widgets is the same as for the dashboard, see Dashboard.
6. After inserting all the desired information, don’t forget to save. Click on the button to do this.
That’s it! The Strategic Map has been successfully created!
