The Simple matter budgeting feature provides mechanism to handle budget defined for a matter in a much simpler way. There are parameters to activate this feature and to choose Email template in System parameters form. Whenever actual transaction amount exceeds the threshold percentage, System will trigger mail to the concern employees on the matters.
User definable parameters are available in the Matter form under Budget and forecast fast tab to enable and define matter budget, matter budget threshold, allowed transaction types along with the person to be alerted when the matter budget threshold is exceeded.
Users can also view matter budget details along with billed and unbilled in All matters list page. Also, there is a periodic job Matter budget overrun email alert when executed triggers email to the selected people for those matters which has exceeds the threshold percentage.
As part of this feature development additional duties are added to Matter manager and Matter assistant roles for Mass update and simple matter budget related fields. System Administrator role have access to System parameters form and Information technology manager role to execute periodic job for Emails.
Note – A new email template has been created as part of this feature development i.e., MatterBudgetEmailTemplate.html which needs to be uploaded. |
