Overview

This enhancement enables the ability to manually change the client requisition date, especially if the requisition is approved in the following month(s) and the prior period is already closed. The existing standard parameter that automatically sets the accounting date to the next available open ledger period is not a viable solution, as it causes audit complications and discrepancies in cashbook dates and bank records.

A new parameter has been introduced that allows manual editing of the requisition date after approval.

Functional Design

A new parameter has been added under MMA > Setup > MMA Parameter > Journals.

  • Parameter Group Name: CLIENT REQUISITION
  • Parameter Control Name: Allow change of date in client requisition journal after approval

The parameter, when enabled, allows users to modify the requisition date after approval, subject to conditions.

Conditions & Restrictions

No Retrospective Changes

The changed date cannot be set before the original requisition creation date.

Example: If a requisition was created on 15-11-2024 and approved on 05-12-2024, the new date cannot be before 15-11-2024.

Bank Balance Validation

Before allowing the date change, the system will verify that the client’s bank account has sufficient balance.
