*Machine performance
Since CPU and Clock frequency in modern days often are virtual we have included a performance index calculator located on the Account tab.
It accurately calculates the actual performance for the computer (virtual or physical) where SMART Migration is installed.
The absolute minimum performance index is 1.0 but we recommend to scale up the computer to meet a performance index of 2.5

*Windows 11 ARM/Snapdragon

If you want to use Microsoft Excel you must have version 2016 or newer (x64) installed on the machine running SMART Migration.
*Data staging/reporting performance
If you plan to use data staging with record size >4k or high volume processing (>250.000 files or SharePoint items) we recommend you use Microsoft SQL Server as the repository database platform and/or data staging platform.
*SharePoint Online / Azure account costs
There are no processing costs associated with SMART Migration’s use of Microsoft Azure.
An Azure account for migration and data integration purposes is bundled by Microsoft to all Tenants at no cost.
To use that account, advanced end-to-end encryption is required. SMART Migration supports that 100%
The Job Sever can run as a native Windows Service on a service account.
The account needs access to the local resources you need. That is local drives, network drives and network connection to SharePoint
If you are using SQLServer the account needs to have access to the various databases and servers since this is also considered a local resource.
Login to SharePoint is not related to the service account.
The account does not need admin permissions however needs permission to “log on as a service”.
