How to connect to Amazon S3 Bucket
- in AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) create or identify a
user and assign permissions to list and use the Buckets you need. You can also use the Root user
- On that user create
Access key 1 or Acces key 2 and in the process make a note of the Key and Secret generated
- In SMART Migration create a Connection and specify the
User and Key and Secret that you generated.
Over time when you add or delete Buckets be sure to refresh the Connection for the changes to take effect. You can specify 10 tag names to work with. AWS supports up to 10 tags for any one blob. You can create multiple Connections to the same user having different sets of tags.
