1.4.8. Reservation ROOM PREFERENCE Basic Table

Often, it is necessary to take down in the reservation some information useful for ensuring and improving the best room allocation possible, such as the bed type requested by the guest or the hotel area he/she prefers to be accommodated in.

Scrigno makes two tables available in which it is possible to list the most frequent room preferences, and associate them with an identification code: the user, instead of inserting notes manually every time, can use the codes included in the tables to fill in quickly the reservation with all the details useful for the operational management.

In multi-property environments, the tables here illustrated are shared by all the hotels of the group.

1. INSERT A ROOM BEDDING ITEM

• Click the button.

• Code field: enter an identification code for the ‘bedding’ type. The code cannot consist of more than 5 characters, alphabetic.

• Description field: briefly describe the bedding in question.

• Order field: specify the display order of the item in the list of values.

• Click the button to save.

2. DELETING A ROOM BEDDING ITEM

• After having selected the code to be deleted, Click the button indicated.

• N.B. The deletion of the code will be successful only if this has never been used before.

• Click the button to confirm.

• If it is not possible to carry out this operation, see the following note.

3. LOGICALLY DELETING A ROOM BEDDING ITEM

• If the code to be eliminated has already been used before, tick the field shown here in order to carry out a logical deletion of the record and hide it from view.

• Click the button to confirm.

4. TRANSLATING A ROOM BEDDING ITEM
   It is possible to translate all the encoded room bedding items into different languages; this is mandatory if such detail is included in the automated reservation confirmation standard texts used by Scrigno.
