Over time, or in specific circumstances, there might be the need to modify some characteristics belonging to a charge code.
It is important to specify that any modification made to the configuration of the charge items has no retroactive effects, i.e. accounting, statistical and production results calculated by the system up to that moment are not subjected to variation.
To modify standard charges:
Tables > Charges > Charges |
- For any modification, first, search for the standard code you wish to modify and select it.
- TO MODIFY THE CHARGE DESCRIPTION
Overwrite the description of the charge to be inserted in the final bill of the guest.
In multi-property environments, customise the wording in the proposed field in the INFO tab, next to the needed hotel.
Click the button indicated to save.
- TO MODIFY THE VAT RATE TO BE APPLIED
Select from the list the item corresponding to the service or product in question.
Click the button to confirm.
- TO MODIFY THE PERTAINING PRODUCT CATEGORY
Select the correct item from the list of values available by pressing the F9 key. For more information on the product categories, see section Product groups basic table.
Click the button to save.
- TO INSERT INTERNAL DESCRIPTIVE NOTES
It is possible to insert notes for internal use for the inserted charge, which are useful for specifying the use or possible specificities.
Click the button to save.
- TO MODIFY THE ASSOCIATED TRANSLATION
It is possible to translate all the encoded charge items into several languages; this is compulsory in order to be able to issue pro-forma bills that are adapted to the country of origin of the guest.
In multy-property environments, if necessary, customise the translation in the field proposed in the HOTELS tab, next to the needed hotel.
Click the button to save.
- TO MODIFY OR INSERT THE AUTOMATIC UNIT SELLING PRICE
In the HOTELS tab, specify the selling price to be automatically proposed to the user for the selected charge, for the specified hotel.
Click the button to confirm.
