As already explained in the section of the manual 1.2.4.3.3 Creating a package, for all the ‘Package’ charges, it is necessary to define the included services and to specify how the components of the lump-sum amount charged must be divided for the correct calculation of the production.

Over time, or in specific circumstances, there might be the need to modify the package composition or division of the production values.
It is important to specify that any modification made to the configuration table of the packages have no retroactive effect, i.e. the production results calculated by the system up to that point cannot be modified. Thus, if, together with the modification, you wish to re-calculate the production data of the previous days on the basis of the new rules of revenues division, it will be necessary to contact the Gp Dati assistance service to evaluate together the operations to be carried out.

To modify existing packages:

Tables > Charges > Packages

  1. For any modification, select the package code you wish to modify.
  1. TO INSERT A NEW PACKAGE COMPONENT
Place the cursor on the first blank line available in the ‘Charge’ table. Press the F9 key and select the component item to be modified in the package in question. Fill in all the remaining fields. For further information on the specifications of the data required for the new record, see section Creating a package.

Click the button to save.
  1. TO DELETE A PACKAGE COMPONENT
To correct inserting errors relating to components, place the cursor on the incorrect code and click to delete the entire line.

Click the button to confirm.
  1. TO MODIFY THE QUOTATION TYPE OF A PACKAGE COMPONENT
To modify the type of calculation of the production amount, from room to presence or vice versa, select the specified field.

Click the button to save.
  1. TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN ADULTS AND CHILDREN THE AMOUNT ASSOCIATED WITH A COMPONENT
If we have requested the calculation by presence of the production amount of the component, here we can differentiate the amount to be calculated for the split of the service, in case of children in the reservation.
By not filling in the table, the amount calculated for adults will be the same also for children.

Click the button to save.
  1. TO MODIFY THE FREQUENCY WITH WHICH A COMPONENT MUST BE CALCULATED DURING THE PRODUCTION STAGE
Select the frequency with which the split of the component service must be calculated. The options displayed in the F9 menu are:
  • *01 produce all nights*= this option is valid for the calculation of the split of the component every night.
(To be used when the component service is provided all the days in which the package should be applied).
  • *02 produce only the first night*= this option is valid for the lump-sum calculation of the split of the component only once during the stay, namely the first night.
(To be used when the component service is provided only once during the stay, or a number of times inferior to the nights included in the package – see also note 8).

Click the button to save.
