In this table, the administrator user can list all the different reasons why a reservation file can be suspended and resumed by users before a specific pre-set date;
Tables > Hotel > Waiting reasons |
- INSERTING A NEW WAITING REASON ITEM
- Click the button to insert a new reservation ‘Waiting Reason’ record.
- Code: for each waiting reason, enter an identification code to be used for the possible reports used for summarising the existing reservations.
- Codes cannot consist of more than 5 characters, alphanumeric.
- Description: Briefly describe the waiting reason item.
- Order: In the list, specify the order to be associated with the currently selected item.
- Reservation status: It is possible to set a bond between the waiting reason and the reservation status; for instance, it is possible to require from the system that the reservations including a waiting reason such as “Waiting confirmation” are automatically set as “Optioned”, as in the example in the picture;
Of course, it might happen that, in the same reservation file, there exist different waiting reasons that correspond to different reservation statuses: in this case, the system will apply to the reservation the predominant status, established according to the following hierarchy of importance:
1. Optioned with deposit
2. Optioned
3. Empty
Thus, if the waiting reasons refer both to the “Optioned with deposit” status and to the “Optioned” status, the reservation will be registered with the “Optioned with deposit” state.
- If we tick this field, we will oblige the user to value the ‘outstanding’ amount; as shown in the picture, for the “Deposit waiting” item, it is useful to always have the specification of the advance required for the deposit.
