1.2.1. PRODUCT GROUP Basic table

Any charges included in the archive of Scrigno must be inserted into a charge class, also known as product group.
Such general ‘containers’ are usually established during the system setup phase, and the grouping of all the production items into product sectors results from the need to be able to activate rules and functions useful for the functionality of these items, such as:

• Defining, already in the booking stage, who is the payer for a specific category of services, and obtaining the automatic distribution of the charges to the accounts of destination, already open for that reservation.

• Activating, for specific services groups, discounts that will be automatically applied at check-out, and only for customers of a specific agency having an agreement or loyal private guests.

• Filtering by product sector the production data displayed on the operative prints, and extrapolating quickly only the charges relating to one or more specific categories.

Assuming that no charge can exist without belonging to at least one of the product groups available, we consider the basic table shown here of primary importance for the correct organisation of the archive.
To make modifications, it is necessary to proceed as suggested here

INSERTING A PRODUCT GROUP

• Click the button indicated.

• Code field: enter an identification code for the charges class. The code cannot consist of more than 5 characters and must be alphabetical.

• Description field: briefly describe the category.

• Click the button indicated to save.

DELETING A PRODUCT GROUP
To delete a product group, it is necessary that this is not attached to any charges in the archive.

• Search for the form to be deleted.

• Select the record of concern and click the button indicated.

• Click the button to save.
