You can create tasks in multiple ways, from the New… button in the top bar or from a project’s Tasks card (recommended):

When you create a new task, a modal pops up:

Fields explanation:

Relation: link the desired relationship. This will make the task visible in the relation’s history.

Project: link the desired project.

Task type: here you can select a task type. You can create the types via Company settings > type tasks

Status: here you can select a status. You can create this via the menu Company settings > status tasks

Title: give the task a name.

Start date: enter the date on which you want to start the task here.

Due date: enter the date on which the task must be ready here

Depending on the Start and Due date, you will see icons with the following colors next to tasks:

  • Blue: Both the start date and the due date have not yet been reached, the task does not need to be performed yet.
  • Orange: The start date has been exceeded, the due date has not yet been reached. This is the moment to execute the task.
  • Red: The start date and the due date have been exceeded. The task should have been executed already.

Task for: this is already filled in by the system. If you want to assign the task to another person, you can delete the entry and enter the name of a colleague here. The task will then be assigned to one of your colleagues. He / she will then immediately see the task in the home screen of BaseNet as an unseen task.

After you click More options, more fields will appear:

Popup reminder: here you can indicate whether you want a pop-up notification well in advance.
