The shock sensor

Flexijet 3D Next Generation has a shock sensor that registers the movements or accelerations of the tripod, in the case of being bumped or moved. FlexiCAD puts out an appropriate warning message if the accelerations exceed a certain value. In this case, one can assume that the tripod was nudged, and care should be taken to ascertain if the Flexijet’s position has been changed. This can be done by projecting points for visual verification, or repositioning using location targets (if a position has been set previously).

!If the accuracy of a measurement in progress cannot be verified, it may be advisable to begin the measurement process again to ensure accuracy.

The sensitivity of the shock sensor can be set in the General Preferences section of FlexiCAD/Flexijet Stone software, which can be accessed when the software starts or by selecting “General Preferences” from the ‘File’ menu.

*On a solid flooring surface, a value of approx. 120 is recommended, and on an unfavorable surface, such as soft wooden floors, a value of maximum 360. The shock sensor is less sensitive when a higher value is set.
